Over 3 million people from the Turkic Council Member States; Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan, fought in this dreadful war against Nazi forces and almost half of these soldiers had never returned from the frontline.
The Great Victory will always remain as a heroic pinnacle in the history of our countries and we will forever cherish the memory of the Victory’s brave heroes.
On this important day in the world history, I have the honor to celebrate veterans of our Member States, who defended our homelands and rebuilt our countries. I also would like to commemorate with deep respect all the martyrs, who sacrificed their lives in this cruel war.
Taking this opportunity, I wish peace and prosperity to the Turkic World.
