Today, the Republic of Turkey commemorates the fifth anniversary of the atrocious coup attempt of July 15, 2016, which was perpetrated by Fetullahist Terrorist Organization (FETÖ) against the State, the constitutional order, the Government, and the people which was thwarted and resulted in a heroic epic of the Turkish nation, highlighting their loyalty to the primordial role of the rule of law and democratic institutions for stability and peace of the country.

Reiterating that the Turkic world will be in solidarity and jointly work to strengthen the prosperity, peace, and development in our region, we join our Turkish brothers and sisters in commemorating the martyrs who sacrificed their lives during this atrocious event, and apperceive the ‘Democracy and National Unity Day’.
