Welcoming the Minister, Secretary General Baghdad Amreyev expressed his appreciation for the visit and briefed him on the latest activities of the Turkic Council as well as the preparations for the upcoming Summit of the Turkic Council that is planned to take place in November 2021in Istanbul.
Discussing the youth and sports agenda of the Turkic Council, Minister Gayibov and the Secretary General Amreyev emphasized that the ongoing projects and activities for youth under the Turkic Council have proved to be valuable means to enhance ties among the Turkic speaking youth and expand their knowledge about their commonalities. They mentioned the professional conduct and promising outcomes of the recently held meeting of the 5th Ministers in charge of Youth and Sports of the Turkic Council and the 1st Young Entrepreneurs Forum of the Turkic Council in Tashkent, Uzbekistan on 20-21 September 2021.
Minister reassured that Azerbaijan will continue to extend its full support for the deepening of the ongoing cooperation with new robust initiatives within the framework of the Council.
F. Gayibov thanked the Secretary General for the hospitality extended and stated readiness of Azerbaijan to host the youth and sports activities to be held next year.
Parties also exchanged views on different topics of common interest.
