The observation mission of the Turkic Council consisted from the representatives of Azerbaijan, Turkey and the Secretariat of the Turkic Council headed by the Secretary General Ramil Hasanov participated in the elections of the deputies to the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan on 28 June 2017.

The mission was divided in two groups, where the Deputy Secretary General Dr. Ömer Kocaman, Project Director Yedil Myrzakhanov and Deputy Director of Financial Affairs Araz Salmanov from Turkic Council, Ambassador Mehmet Munis Dirik, Prof. Salih Yilmaz from Turkey and Bakhsheyish Asgarov from Azerbaijan observed the elections in Astana.

Project Directors Farid Damirli, Ali Civiler and Research Expert Dastan Almen from Turkic Council observed the elections in Akmola oblast in Kokshetau city.

Among the international observer missions were also representatives from the CIS countries, Shanghai cooperation organization, TurkPA and other participants.

The elections were held open, transparent and fully complied with its national legislation and international standards.

The results of the elections will be announced next day in the official press conference.
