The Opening Ceremony of the “Lankaran – Youth Capital of the Turkic World” was held on 10 June 2024 in Lankaran. The Opening Ceremony was attended by delegations from the Member States and Observers, as well as the Secretariat of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS).

On behalf of the OTS Secretariat, Sadi Jafarov, Deputy Secretary General of the OTS, expressed his appreciation to the Ministry of Youth and Sport of the Republic of Azerbaijan for hosting the event, congratulated the youth of the Turkic World on the occasion of launching Lankaran as a youth capital for 2024.

Within the framework of the event the Azerbaijani side hosted the II General Assembly of Youth platform of the Organization of Turkic States. On 11 June 2024, it will host the III Young Entrepreneurs Forum and VI Young Leaders Forum as well.
