The Opening Ceremony of the Turkic Council Youth Festival was held in Ganja, Azerbaijan
The Opening Ceremony of the Turkic Council Youth Festival hosted by the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Azerbaijan on 27-30 September 2016 started in Azerbaijan’s city of Ganja.
 
The Festival which gathered together about 100 youngsters from the member states of the Turkic Council, as well as Qatar and Uzbekistan aims to promote socialization among the youth sharing the same history and culture, to strengthen ties of friendship and fraternity among the youngsters and societies, to assist in the personal development by increasing sense of awareness towards the social problems and problems of humanity of the future young leaders who can contribute to all aspects of human society and protect their own culture, as well as to build a strong future.
 
Deputy Secretary General Dr. Ömer Kocaman represented the Turkic Council in the Opening Ceremony. The ceremony was also attended by Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports of Azerbaijan Intiqam Babaev, Deputy Governor of Ganja Elnur Rzayev, Turkey’s Consul General of Ganja Orhan Işık, Consul General of Georgia Mamuka Balavadze, as well as representatives of various youth organizations from Azerbaijan and delegations of participating countries.
 
Local trips, various cultural and artistic activities such as concerts and exhibitions, as well as thematic debates will be held in the framework of the three-day Festival.
 
Project Directors Ali Çiviler ve Zamin Aliyev are accompanying Deputy Secretary General Kocaman at the activities of the Turkic Council Youth Festival.
