Kyrgyzstan-Turkey Manas University (KTMU) hosted the Opening Ceremony of the Third General Assembly of the Turkic University Union (Union) on 19 April 2018 in Bishkek.
Ambassadors of the member states in Bishkek, representatives from 14 member universities of the Union, Student Council delegates and Turkic Council officials and a large number of students coming from the host university, Kyrgyz National University, Bishkek Humanities University and International University of Kyrgyzstan attended the event.
The Rector of the KTMU Prof. Sebahattin Balcı, Deputy Secretary General of the Turkic Council Dr. Ömer Kocaman and Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to Bishkek Cengiz Kamil Firat delivered their opening speeches.
Turkic Council Project Directors Zhyldyz Uzakova, Jeyhun Shahverdiyev, Özge Pan and Research Expert Dastan Almen were also present at the opening ceremony.
Following the opening ceremony, the delegations of the Union member universities, Student Council and Secretariat will continue at the separate meeting room with the view to assessing the implemented activities and future projections of the Union at its Third General Assembly.
