The Organization of Turkic States lowered the flags at its headquarters to half-staff due to 12 June the Day of National Mourning in the Republic of Kazakhstan.
With the decision of President of Kazakhstan H.E.Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, June 12 was declared as a day of national mourning for the forestry workers who lost their lives in the forest fires in Abai region. 
At this day of mourning, the flags of Member States and Observers will stay lowered to half-staff at the Headquarters of the Organization of Turkic States. 
Sharing its continuing solidarity with brotherly people and Leadership of Kazakhstan, the OTS extends its condolences and wishes God’s mercy upon those who lost their lives and speedy recovery to the wounded.
