Deputy Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States Dr. Mirvokhid Azimov met with Deputy Chairman of the State Customs Service of the Kyrgyz Republic Mr. Almaz Saliev on 26 August 2022 in Bishkek.

Parties exchanged views on the current state of implementing the digital TİR project launched between Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan in March 2022 and discussed the perspective of establishing green lanes at the border crossing points between the two countries to encourage the use of digital TİR in the carriage of goods among the Member States.

Referring to the instructions of the Heads of State to widely use digital instruments in transport, Parties discussed the avenues of further digitalization of transport and transit procedures (“ePermit”, “eCMR”, etc).

Parties also exchanged information on the latest developments in completing internal procedures for signing the “Agreement on Establishment of Simplified Customs Corridor among the Governments of the Member States of the Organization of Turkic States”.
