The Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) H.E. Ambassador Kubanychbek Omuraliev visited the headquarters of the Council of Elders of Azerbaijan (CEA) and had a meeting with Chairman of the Council of Elders and Chair of the Counting Commision of the Parliament of Azerbaijan Mr.Eldar Guliyev and Vice-Chairmen of the CEA - Chair of the Healthcare Committee of the Parliament of Azerbaijan Mr.Ahliman Amiraslanov and Chair of the Disciplinary Commission of the Parliament of Azerbaijan Mr. Eldar Ibrahimov on 3 March 2023 in Baku.

The Chairman and Vice-Cairmen of the Council of Elders briefed the Secretary General on their activities and their role in the society in protecting the national and spiritual values of Azerbaijani people, promoting moral norms and implementing the necessary measures to strengthen the sense of patriotism and increase civic responsibility among the youth.

The parties also exchanged views on strengthening cooperation between the Elders from other Member States of the OTS as well as the upcoming joint activities.

H.E. Hasan Hasanov, representative of the Republic of Azerbaijan at the Council of Elders (Aksakkals) of the OTS also participated at the meeting.
