The OTS workshop on the theme of “Efficient Use of Water” was conducted by Türkiye 
Co-organized by the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) and the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry of the Republic of Türkiye, the online workshop on the theme of “Efficient Use of Water” for the OTS Member States and Observers was held on 14 May 2024 in online format.
The program was opened by the welcoming remarks addressed of Mrs. Ozge Imamoglu, Head of the International Organizations Department of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry of the Republic of Türkiye and Mr. Farrukh Jumayev, Project Director of the OTS Secretariat.  
More than 40 experts from the Ministries of Agriculture and relevant institutions in charge of the agriculture were participated in the workshop.
The Turkish academicians and experts in the field of agriculture and water issues made presentations on the following topics: 
-    Irrigation management during drought condition in the context of climate change  
-    Waste water reuse 
-    Use of Groundwater in irrigation 
-    Development of water resources 
-    Regional Cooperation in the field of Agriculture water use efficiency 
-    Basin based water management in the adaptation process to climate change 
-    Water efficiency/approach in changing climate adaptation conditions
-    The Impact of climate change on water resources
-    Utilization of alternative water resources  
-    R&D activities for effective use of water in agriculture
-    Use of advanced techniques and technologies in agricultural irrigation   
The workshop provided a valuable opportunity to share Türkiye's knowledge and experience in water efficiency and to explore innovative solutions to address current challenges. Participants shared their views on the need to deepen collaboration for diverse experiences to advance water efficiency practices across the Turkic region. 
The program was followed by a Q&A session and discussions on the abovementioned topics.
