The Project Director of the Turkic Council Yedil Myrzakhanov has attended the "Soviet Historiography and Issues on the History of Kazakhstan" International Symposium. The meeting convened on the occasion 100th anniversary birth of the first Kazakh historian Yermukhan Bekmukhanov was organized by the Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University and the Turkish World Municipalities Association on 15-16 April 2015.

The Organization of Turkic States was established in 2009 as an intergovernmental organization. Its primary objective is to foster comprehensive cooperation among Turkic States.
