The Second Fam Trip of the Turkic Council Modern Silk Road Joint Tour Package began on 20 May 2017 in Almaty.
The delegation comprising journalists from Austria, Germany, England, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Qatar, Spain, Turkey and USA, as well as tour operators from France, Germany, Poland and Singapore visited today the historical places and natural beauties of Almaty city.
After Almaty, the group will advance to the next Silk Road destination the Turkistan city, which houses Mausoleum of Khoja Ahmed Yasawi.
These visits, which aim to promote the Modern Silk Road Joint Tour Package Project, are organized with the kind support of the Presidencies, Prime Ministries, Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Ministries in Charge of Tourism of the Member States.
The visits are supported also by the Promotion Fund of the Republic of Turkey and the Turkish Airlines is the main transportation sponsor. Air Astana and Azerbaijan Airlines, as well as the InterContinental Hotel in Almaty and Rixos Hotel in Shymkent are also among the sponsors.
