The Second Meeting of the Turkic Council Working Group on Customs Cooperation and the Second Meeting of the Heads of Customs Administrations of the Turkic Council convened on 3-4 June 2013 in Istanbul with the participation of Mr. Rza Hasanaliyev, Deputy Chairman of the State Customs Committee of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mr. Amaniyaz Yerzhanov, Deputy Chairman of the Customs Control Committee under the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Mr. Zamirbek Malabekov, First Deputy Chairman of the State Customs Service under the Government of Kyrgyz Republic, and Mr. Mehmet Güzel, Deputy Undersecretary of Ministry of Customs and Trade of the Republic of Turkey.

Among various other issue, the parties have agreed to hold technical meetings to evaluate the current situation and conduct studies to ensure exchange of preliminary information, to share their experiences on improving legislation and other practices regarding AEOs, and expressed their willingness to consider the conclusion of mutual recognition agreements, reaffirmed the importance of Caravanserai Project in relation to improving the efficiency of border control processing and simplification of import and export procedures as well as decided on the continuation of training seminars which will be coordinated by the Secretariat of the Turkic Council. 
 
Taking into consideration the importance of Georgia as a partner country for the Turkic Council, invitation shall be extended to Georgia for the Third Meeting of the Heads of Customs Administrations.
 
The outcomes of this meeting shall be reported to the Council of Heads of State.
 
The third Meeting is decided to be held in Astana, in May 2014.
