Upon invitation of the Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), Iyad Ameen Madani, the Secretariat of the Turkic Council attended the 42nd Session of the Council of Foreign Ministers (CFM) of the OIC, hosted by the State of Kuvait on 27-28 May 2015.
On the margins of the Meeting, the delegation of the Turkic Council headed by Abzal Saparbekuly, Deputy Secretary General, contacted with the Ministers and Deputy Ministers of the Member States as well as discussed the Observer Status application of the Turkic Council at the OIC with OIC Secretariat and with delegations of some OIC member countries.
The agenda of the 42nd Session of the CFM of the OIC also included the Observer Status application of the Turkic Council. The issue was discussed at the closed "Special Session".
