Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) Baghdad Amreyev held a meeting with the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan H.E.Shahin Mustafayev on 8 February 2022 in Baku.
The Deputy Prime Minister and the Secretary General discussed further steps for enhancing economic cooperation among the Member States and exchanged views on the issues of the high agenda of the Organization, including the efforts towards defining a common strategy that will ensure closer cooperation in the Turkic World.
B.Amreyev and S.Mustafayev reviewed the new avenues of regional cooperation, establishment process of the Turkic Investment Fund and agreed that the private sector of the Member and Observer States should be more involved to take advantage of these opportunities.
The Secretary General and the Deputy Prime Minister discussed the joint efforts to improve the infrastructural capacity and transit potential of the Trans-Caspian East-West-Middle Corridor and expressed contentment with the speed of the transport and customs operations across the corridor as well as connectivity and formation of important corridors, including the Zangazur Corridor.
