H.E. Ambassador Kubanychbek Omuraliev, Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States, met with H.E. Ozodbek Nazarbekov, Minister of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Uzbekistan on 19 June 2023 in one of the ancient centers of the Turkic world - Tashkent.
Ambassador Kubanychbek Omuraliev and Minister Ozodbek Nazarbekov discussed the promotion of cultural and historical heritage of Turkic peoples, interaction with Turkic Cooperation Organizations and joint actions to develop the tourism sector.
The Uzbek side presented the draft of the Tourism Platform “Tabarruk ziyorat”, which includes sections of tourist places and cultural monuments of the OTS Member and Observer States.
Secretary General and Minister also discussed the organization of joint international conferences on the role of the Turkic peoples in the formation and development of the Turkic statehood.
Following the meeting, the Parties highlighted the issues of strengthening the activities of TURKSOY, as well as holding importance of holding the Gala Concert in honor of the 30th Anniversary of TURKSOY.
