Secretary General also briefed the Chairman on the current activities of the Turkic Council and its efforts for enhancing cooperation of the Member States in the areas of trade, investments, transport, tourism, youth and sports, education and culture as well as the scope of the activities among the parliaments of the Turkic Council region.
Ambassador Amreyev emphasized the importance of structural improvement of the existing Turkic cooperation institutions in accordance with the decisions of the Heads of State taken during the last Summit of Turkic Council in Cholpon-Ata.
The Chairman of the Mazhilis H.E. Nurlan Nigmatulin congratulated Baghdad Amreyev with his appointment to the position of the Turkic Council`s Secretary General and wished him success in his new post. H.E. Nurlan Nigmatulin underlined the important role of the parliaments in promoting mutual friendship between the peoples and in addressing the common challenges in Turkic Council region and beyond it. He expressed his readiness to support the activities of the Turkic Council and the sustainable progress and development of the cooperation between the Member States at every level.
