Hosted by the President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sooronbay Ceenbekov on September 2, 2018 the opening ceremony of the Third World Nomad Games was attended by the President of the Republic of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev,the President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnihanov,the Prime Minister of Hungary Viktor Orban as well as the local and foreign guests and the Kyrgyz people .
37 different traditional games of 14 countries including horse racing, horse games, wrestling, intellectual games, fights, archery and hunting branches will take place in the World Nomad Games. There will be competitions of the traditional sports games unique to Turkey, archery, horseback archery, mangala and aba güreşi. The games will be continue in Issık-Kul until 8th September 2018 at different centres.
Secretary General Hasanov attended the opening ceremony together with the Deputy Secretary General Dr. Ömer Kocaman, Project Manager Yıldız Uzakova, Acting Chief of Protocol Araz Salmanov.
