The Secretary General of the Turkic Council Ambassador Ramil Hasanov had a bilateral meeting with the Minister of Transport of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ziya Mammadov. Noting the existing quadrilateral cooperation among the Member States, the Ambassador gave information to the Minister about the ongoing activities of the Turkic Council in the field of transportation.
In this regard, Hasanov indicated about the Combined Freight Shipment Agreement planned to be signed this year, the process of “Sister-Ports”, the participation of Turkmenistani Turkmenbashi port in the above mentioned project and the prospective partnership between the Expert Groups of the Turkic Council and the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe Euro-Asian Transport Links (UNECE EATL).
Minister Mammadov stated that the Ministry will provide every support to the forthcoming activities and projects of the Council.
