The Secretary General of the Turkic Council Ambassador Ramil Hasanov was accepted by the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev at his premises at the Akorda Presidential Palace on 10 September 2015.
During the meeting, one day prior to the Fifth Summit of Heads of State of the Turkic Council to be held on 11 September 2015, the Secretary General Hasanov gave comprehensive information to President Nazarbayev about the ongoing activities and prospective projects of the Turkic Council.
The Secretary General Hasanov also gave detailed information about the current work on the establishment of the International Turkic News Channel initiated by upon the encouragement of the President Nazarbayev.
The Secretary General stressed the importance of the support provided until now affirming that the Secretariat will carry on working at full capacity with the backing of the President.
The President Nazarbayev said that he expects the continuation of the successful studies of the Secretariat initiated in a short time and added that he closely tracks the activities of the Turkic Council.
The Secretary General, on the occasion of taking over of the Republic of Kazakhstan the Chairmanship of the Turkic Council from the Republic of Turkey at the Fifth Summit, presented the flag of the Turkic Council and the kit of promotional videos about the activities of the Council over the last five year to the President of Kazakhstan at the end of the meeting.
After the meeting with the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Secretary General gave interview about the details of the audience.
