The Secretary General of the Turkic Council paid a courtesy visit to the Governor of Istanbul.
The Secretary General of the Turkic Council, Baghdad Amreyev visited the Governor of Istanbul Mr. Ali Yerlikaya on December 7, 2020.
Secretary General expressed the pleasure of the recent settlement to a new and prestigious Secretariat building, Arif Paşa Konağı, in the historical peninsula of Istanbul, which is not only the natural capital of the Turkic world but also one of the centers of the globe. 
He emphasized once again the contentment with the generosity shown to the Turkic Council by the government of Turkey, as the host country of the Organization.  
B. Amreyev briefed the Governor on the activities carried out by the Turkic Council as well as its undertakings for the upcoming period.
Governor Yerlikaya indicated the honor to host such an important and valuable institution at the heart of Istanbul and thanked the Secretary General for his kind visit. The Governor also stated that they gladly follow the successful achievements and dynamic efforts of the Turkic Council in deepening integration and developing relations among the Turkic Speaking States.
The parties exchanged views on some administrative and technical issues, as well as on the preparations for the 8th Summit of the Turkic Council planned to be held in Istanbul and on ensuring coordination and cooperation in the activities and projects carried out by the Turkic Council in various fields.
