The Secretary General of Turkic Council received the new Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Turkey

Secretary General of the Turkic Council H.E. Baghdad Amreyev received the newly appointed Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan to Ankara H.E. Rashad Mammadov, who paid a courtesy visit to the new premises of the Turkic Council Secretariat in Istanbul on 23 October 2021. 

Secretary General congratulated Ambassador Mammadov on his new appointment as the Ambassador to brotherly Republic of Turkey and wished him every success in his new duties. He underlined that the experience gained in previous posting as the Ambassador to the Republic of Kazakhstan will be instrumental in his new endeavors.

Ambassador Mammadov thanked Secretary General for the warm welcome and emphasized the growing influence of the Turkic Council during Azerbaijani Chairmanship. 

He also expressed his appreciation for the strong support given by the Turkic Council to Azerbaijan during and following the 44-Days Patriotic War.

The Secretary General restated the willingness of Turkic Council together with its related organizations to contribute to the revival of socio-economic life and cultural heritage of Karabakh.
