The 7th Meeting of Ministers in charge of Economy of the Turkic Council was convened on 30 November 2017 in Istanbul under the patronage of the Minister of Economy of the Republic of Turkey H.E. Nihat Zeybekci. Minister of Economy of the Republic of Azerbaijan H.E. Shahin Mustafayev, Vice-Minister of National Economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan H.E. Baurzhan Bekeshev, First Deputy Minister of Economy of the Kyrgyz Republic H.E. Daniyar Imanaliev participated in the meeting with the aim of carrying forward the economic agenda of the Member States of the Turkic Council. First Deputy Minister of Economy of the Republic of Uzbekistan H.E. Sunatulla Bekenov attended the meeting upon the invitation of the Host.
Minister of Economy of the Republic of Turkey H.E. Nihat Zeybekci welcomed the participants in Istanbul and emphasized on the importance of cooperation among Turkic States especially on the Modern Silk Road. Following Minister’s welcome Heads of Delegations of the Member States of Turkic Council delivered their statements.
Secretary General of the Turkic Council Ambassador Ramil Hasanov in his speech underlined the achievements in economic sphere, as well as in various areas that has important impacts to the economic activities. He also welcomed Deputy Minister of Economy of the Republic of Uzbekistan H.E. Sunatulla Bekenov and expressed his wish to have Uzbekistan in Turkic Council ministerial meetings on areas of mutual interest.
Project Director of the Turkic Councili Assan Mazhitvo reported to the Ministers on the results of 9th Meeting of the Working Group on Economy.
The Heads of delegations expressed their gratitude the Minister Zeybekci for hosting this successful meetings.
The meeting has ended by signing the Agreed Minutes of the Seventh Meeting of the Ministers in charge of Economy by the Secretary General of the Turkic Council. H.E. Ambassador Ramil Hasanov.
Following the meeting, Host Minister Zeybekci and Ambassador Hasanov delivered their remarks at the joint press conference.
Project Directors Assan Mazhitov, Zyıldız Zuzakova, Ozge Pan, Farid Damirli, Chief of Protocol Emre Yurdakul, Research Expert Dastan Almen and Deputy Director of Administrative and Financial Affairs Araz Salmanov accompanied Secretary General Ambassador Hasanov during the meeting.
