The signing ceremony at the First Meeting of the Ministers and High Officials in charge of Information and Media of the Turkic Council.
After the First Meeting of the Ministers and High Officials in charge of Information and Media of the Turkic Council held on 18 August 2015 in Astana, Ali Hasanov, Assistant of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Asset Issekeshev, Minister of Investment and Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Altynbek Maksutov, Minister of Culture, Information and Tourism of the Kyrgyz Republic and Şenol Göka, Director General of the Turkish Radio and Television Corporation signed “Turkic Council Joint Cooperation Protocol on Information and Media” that aims at stimulating cooperation on the subject matter within the Turkic Council.
During the signing ceremony, the parties have also approved “the Concept Paper for the establishment of the International Turkic News Channel (ITNC)” and appreciated the efforts made over the last year by the relevant authorities of the Member States to this end, in line with the instructions of the Council of Head of States of the Turkic Council given at the 2014 Bodrum Summit.
Finally, Secretary General of the Turkic Council Ambassador Ramil Hasanov, the abovementioned Ministers and High Officials welcomed the signing of ”the Protocol of Cooperation among the National TV Channels of the Member States of the Cooperation Council of Turkic Speaking States”, and “the Memorandum of Understanding for Cooperation among official News Agencies of the Member States of the Cooperation Council of Turkic Speaking States”.
