The Turkic Council delegation attended the official opening session of the First Summit on Science and Technology of OIC in Astana.
The Turkic Council delegation headed by the Secretary General Ambassador Ramil Hasanov attended the official opening session of the First Summit on Science and Technology of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) held on 10-11 September 2017 in Astana. The Summit was opened by the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan H.E. Nursultan Nazarbayev as the Chairman of OIC. The Presidents of Turkey, Pakistan, Mauritania, Uzbekistan, Guinea and the Secretary General of OIC also delivered their speeches.

In the framework of the summit the Secretary General Hasanov had a chance to have bilateral meetings with the high officials and guests of the forum, including Dr. Abdullatif R. Alzayani the Secretary General of Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC).

Ambassador Hasanov discussed with the Secretary General of GCC possible cooperation between two organizations and invited him to the headquarters of the Turkic Council in Istanbul. Dr. Abdullatif R. Alzayani accepted the invitation with pleasure.

Following the Summit, Secretary General Hasanov attended to the official reception hosted by H.E. Nursultan Nazarbayev in the honor of the Presidents and the heads of delegations.

Deputy Secretary General Dr. Ömer Kocaman, Project Directors Ali Civiler, Yedil Myrzakhanov and Chief of Protocol Emre Yurdakul accompanied to the Secretary General Hasanov during the session.
