The Governor Valiyev expressed his gratitude to the head of the delegation Deputy Secretary General of the Turkic Council Dr. Ömer Kocaman for his kind visit. He gave short information about the elections process and preparations for elections in the city adding that there are four election committee departments, 117 ballot boxes and 145 thousand electors in Ganja.
 
The Deputy Secretary General delivered that it was not the first Turkic Council’s observation mission to Azerbaijan informing that the Council had already observed Presidential Elections in Karabakh district in 2013. The Deputy Secretary General who gave brief information about the past and future projects of the Secretariat informed the Ganja Governor about the prospective activities of the delegation in the framework of the elections observation mission. After the meeting with the Ganja Governer the Deputy Secretary General Kocaman gave interview to the local television channel of Ganja.
 
After paying a visit to the Ganja Governer the delegation of the Turkic Council headed to the 38th elections committee department of Nizami district and 40th elections committee department of Kepez district of Ganja city where the heads of committee Refail Halilov and Urfan Nasirov informed the guests about the counting system and the general work of the committee.
