The Third Meeting of the Contact Group under the aegis of Turkic Council consisting of officials of ministries/institutions in charge of diaspora affairs was convened on 3 May 2016 in Almaty. Deputy Secretary General of the Turkic Council Dr. Ömer Kocaman moderated the meeting.
During the meeting the parties discussed the Action Plan of the Turkic speaking diasporas for 2016-2017, establishment of Turkic Council Regional diaspora centers, organization of Second Turkic Council diaspora forum and other issues related to diaspora cooperation among the Member States of the Turkic Council. As a result, Action Plan of the Turkic speaking diasporas for 2016-2017 was finalized and accepted by the parties.
The meeting was coordinated by the Project Directors of Turkic Council Zamin Aliyev, Ali Civiler and Yedil Myrzakhanov.
