Third Meeting of the Senior Officials of the Education Ministries of the Turkic Council started in Baku. Secretary General of the Turkic Council, Ambassador Ramil Hasanov opened the meeting where the Education Ministries of the four Member States, as well as a delegation from Turkmenistanand Turkic Academy were present.
Ambassador Hasanov stated that education is one of the priority areas for the Turkic Council and important issues regarding education cooperation among the Turkic countries including student exchange programmes, common history and literature textbooks, joint educational TV channel as well as issues related to the Turkic Academy and the Turkic University Union would be discussed at the meeting.
Deputy Minister Mr. Jeyhun Bayramov is heading the delegation of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the host country. In his opening speech, Mr Bayramov emphasized that Azerbaijan attaches great importance to the success of the meeting. As the Secretary General Hasanov left for his bilateral meetings, Hatice Tuğba İkizler, Project Director at the Turkic Council, assumed the moderation of the meeting.
