Turkic Business Council and Economic Cooperation Organization Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ECO CCI) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on the margins of the 25th Executive Committee Meeting of the ECO CCI held on 14 December 2018 in Tashkent.

Turkic Business Council and Economic Cooperation Organization Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ECO CCI) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on the margins of the 25th Executive Committee Meeting of the ECO CCI held on 14 December 2018 in Tashkent.
Secretary General of the Turkic Council Baghdad Amreyev and President of ECO CCI Azarakhsh Hafizi signed the MoU on cooperation between the Turkic Business Council and ECO CCI on the margins of the 25th Executive Committee Meeting of the ECO CCI.

The MoU aims at enhancing cooperation between both organizations and to identifying areas of mutual interest with a view to promoting close cooperation and consultation on matters of common interest in order to contribute to the economic and social development of the Turkic Council and ECO Member States and establishing and maintaining effective, systematic consultation, cooperation, coordination and exchange of useful information between the Parties.

In his address, Secretary General Baghdad Amreyev underlined the existing partnership between the Turkic Council and ECO and thanked the ECO Member States for their support to conclude this MoU. He also expressed that signing this MoU is a testament of the desire of both organizations for strengthening cooperation in and between their business communities and thus contributing to the achievement of sustainable socio-economic development in the region.

In his opening speech, the President of the Uzbek CCI, Adkham Ikramov greeted the Secretary General of the Turkic Council Baghdad Amreyev and expressed his contentedness for the close cooperation established of the ECO CCI with the Turkic Business Council which will further promote interregional cooperation.

It is worth to mention that the Turkic Council holds observer status at ECO since the year of 2012 and ECO is also expected to obtain observer status at the Turkic Council in the upcoming period.

Deputy Secretary General, Dr. Ömer Kocaman and Project Director Özge Pan accompanied the Secretary General at the 25th Executive Committee Meeting of the ECO CCI.
