Turkic Business Forum devoted to the Karabakh region’s revival was held in Shusha
Turkic Business Forum "Shusha", devoted to the restoration and socio-economic development of the Karabakh region was held on 16 September 2022 in Shusha, Azerbaijan.
The Business Forum was co-organized by the Organization of Turkic States, the Turkic Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Ministry of Economy and National Confederation of Entrepreneurs Organizations of the Republic of Azerbaijan (ASK) and attended by senior officials of Chambers of Commerce and Industry as well as more than 200 business representatives from the Member and Observer States.
The OTS Secretary General Baghdad Amreyev addressed the Forum with opening remarks, where he praised the ongoing efforts of the Government of Azerbaijan in conducting restoration works and implementing new major projects in the liberated lands and expressed full support of the OTS in this direction.
The Secretary General also shared the plans of the Organization towards boosting economic and trade relations in the Turkic region, such as the establishment of Turkic Investment Fund aimed at supporting small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and facilitating the implementation of various joint investment projects. 
B.Amreyev reiterated that the Organization would continue to put all efforts to encourage and support the business activities in the Turkic region in close cooperation with all stakeholders.
In his welcoming speech, Minister of Agriculture of Azerbaijan H.E. Inam Karimov informed about the huge potential of the liberated lands and new opportunities for the development of agricultural projects based on ‘green’ technologies as well as plans for establishing smart villages and agricultural parks. 
President of the Turkic Chamber of Commerce and Industry Mr. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu emphasized the role of Zangezur Corridor, which would make great contributions to the development of trade in the region, and underlined that Karabakh should be made a center of attraction for investments from brotherly Turkic countries. 
Following the official remarks of the heads of delegations, the forum proceeded with the special session, moderated by Deputy Secretary General Dr. Ömer Kocaman, entitled the “Investment opportunities in Karabakh and East Zangazur economic region”.
