Turkic Council Expert Alim Bayaliyev participated in the 10th Eurasian Media Forum which took place in Astana on 11-12 October, 2012. Kazakh Prime Minister Serik Akhmetov opened the first day of the Forum with a welcoming message from President Nursultan Nazarbayev stressing media responsibility in East-West relations.
The two-day Forum attracted over four hundred delegates from about forty countries. In eight different sessions, speakers and delegates discussed a number of important issues ranging from Eurozone crisis and the Arab Spring to media’s double standards and the prospects of the Customs Union of Kazakhstan, Belarus, and Russia.
