Turkic Council convened the 3rd Video-Conference Meeting of the Supply Chain Group
3rd Video-Conference Meeting of the Supply Chain Group (SCG) of the Turkic Council held on 18 May 2021 to discuss organization of annual Health Business Forums with the participation of public and private companies of the Member States. 
The meeting was moderated by Dr. Ömer Kocaman, Deputy Secretary General of the Turkic Council and attended by Mr. Mehmet Ali Kılıçkaya, General Manager of International Health Services Inc. of the Ministry of Health of Turkey (USHAŞ), Mr. Rustam Rustambekov, Deputy Director of the  Innovation and Procurement Center of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ms. Gulnara Mukhanova, Director of the Department of International Cooperation and Integration of the Ministry of Healthcare of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Mr. Osmon Masaliev, Head of the International Cooperation Department of the Ministry of Healthcare of the Kyrgyz Republic, Ms. Dilorom Tursunova, Head of the Department of Sanitary- Epidemiological Vaccines and Immunoprophylaxis,  as well as the representatives of the private companies of the Member States included in the Supply Chain Group.

The participants had discussion on preparation process for the Turkey-Kazakhstan Health Business Forum as well as the Turkic Council’s annual Health Business Forum in the fall before the 8th Summit of the Turkic Council in Turkey. 
In this regard, Mr. Mehmet Ali Kılıçkaya, shared their experiences in organizing Health Business Forum in Uzbekistan in 2019 with the participation of 86 Uzbek and 46 Turkish companies and underlined the Forum’s role in establishing the G2G and B2B contacts as well as contributions to the development of the trade relations. 

Ms. Gulnara Mukhanova, Director of the Department of International Cooperation and Integration of the Ministry of Healthcare of the Republic of Kazakhstan expressed their readiness to host this Business Forum in September due to the pandemic situation. She also shared information on QazVac vaccine emphasizing that according to the Research Institute for Biological Safety Problems, the QazVac had 100% efficacy in the first stage of clinical trials and 96% efficacy in the second stage of clinical trials. She added that third phase of clinical trials will be completed in July and they are currently negotiating for its approval by WHO.
The Parties agreed to start preparation for Turkey-Kazakhstan Health Business Forum under the umbrella of the Turkic Council to be held in late August or early September in Nur-Sultan as well as the Turkic Council’s annual Health Business Forum in Istanbul before the 8th Summit of the Turkic Council.
