The meeting was moderated by Baghdad Amreyev, Secretary General of the Turkic Council and attended by Dr.Viktor Gasimov, Deputy Minister of Health of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ms. Lyudmila Byurabekova, Deputy Minister of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Mr. Nurbolot Usenbaev, Deputy Minister of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic, Prof. Dr. Emine Alp Meşe, Deputy Minister of Health of the Republic of Turkey, Mr. Yusupaliev Bahodir Kahramonovich, First Deputy Minister of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Dr. Cecília Müller, Chief Medical Officer of Hungary.
At the meeting, Parties exchanged information on the best practices in the field of prevention, diagnosis and epidemiological studies of coronavirus infection, discussed the joint cooperation opportunities in developing new methods for the prevention and treatment.
Parties agreed to hold online trainings, skill development programs for medical professionals and international scientific-practical video conferences with the participation of leading medical experts of the Member and Observer States, which will be hosted by the Republic of Turkey.
Participants decided the creation of a joint database and epidemiological monitoring system among the Countries in fight against COVID-19.
During the meeting, composition of “Supply Chain Group” was approved, which aims to work on joint production of medical devices/equipment, pharmaceuticals, disposable products, health infrastructure investments, innovative IT systems, service procurement, international patient treatment as well as construction of new modern hospitals.
They also agreed to form the “Health Scientific Group” which consists of leading scientist, specialists and experts in order to develop multilateral cooperation in the fields of epidemiology, microbiology, virology and similar areas.
Parties further agreed to hold a Health Business Forum with the participation of public and private sector representatives of the Member and Observer States in the upcoming period.
