Turkic Council delegation composed of Project Director Ms. Özge Pan and Advisor to the Secretary General Mr. Rashad Gasimov first met with the delegation of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan (CCI) headed by First Deputy Chairman, Mr. Islom Jasimov.

At the meeting, Turkic Council delegation presented its current projects in the field of economy and briefed the CCI on the positive outcomes of the partership among the private sectors of the Member States established within the Turkic Business Council mechanism. The delegation also discussed the mutual cooperation opportunities with regards to the ongoing web portal project of the Secretariat entitled “turkicbusiness.com”.

First Deputy Chairman Mr. Jasimov underlined that the bilateral relations of Uzbekistan with the Member States of the Turkic Council have been developing greatly especially since last year and that the growing ties among Turkic Speaking States would contribute to further cooperation opportunities. He also expressed great interest in the Turkic Council web portal project and stressed that the CIC will conduct the necessary study in order to become a part of this fruitful initiative.

Turkic Council delegation then met with the representatives of the State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan on Investments chaired by the Head of Department for FDI Attraction, Mr. Davron Ibragimov. Turkic Council delegation briefed the representatives of the State Committee on Investment on details of the webportal project. Parties exchanged views on the means of possible cooperation regarding the project.

At the end of the meetings, Turkic Council delegation exchanged gifts with the representatives of both instutions.
