Deputy Secretary General of the Turkic Council Mr. Abzal Saparbekuly, accompanied by Project Directors Mr. Farid Damirli and Mr. Mehmet Şefik Yurtçiçek, met with Ambassador Mr. Abdelaziz S. Seif El Nasr, the Head of the Legal Department of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), and Ambassador Ali Abolhassani, Director of the Department of Political Affairs, on 21 July 2016 in Jeddah to discuss the draft Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) which was recently proposed by the Turkic Council.
The parties have voiced the timeliness and suitability of signing such an MoU in the aftermath of the 13th Islamic Summit which was held in April 2016 in Istanbul. A common understanding was reached as to the conclusion and signing of the MoU before the end of the year.
