Turkic Council Deputy Secretary General Dr. Ömer Kocaman delivered a speech on 14 September 2017 in Chengdu on the margins of the 22nd Session of the UNWTO General Assembly "Tourism and the Sustainable Development Goals: Journey 2030".

During his speech, Mr. Kocaman firstly congratulated newly elected Secretary General of UNWTO Mr. Zurab Pololikashvili.

He separately congratulated Mr. Taleb Rifai with the end of his successful term and thanked for his support to the Turkic Council.

Further, he gave information to the audience on Turkic Council activities in the tourism sector, particularly about the ongoing project "Turkic Council Modern Silk Road Joint Tour Package".

He then underlined Turkic Council’s contribution to the achievements of United Nation Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

After the session, Dr. Kocaman participated together with the Head of Kazakhstani delegation Vice-Minister of Culture and Sport of Kazakhstan Askar Batalov in the official dinner dedicated to the election of the new UNWTO Secretary General.
