Upon the invitation of Deputy Chairperson of the AK Party and Member of Parliament Dr. Ravza Kavakcı Kan, Turkic Council Deputy Secretary General Dr. Ömer Kocaman participated in the "15 July as a Human Rights Violation" panel that took place on 14 July 2017 in Ankara at ATO International Convention and Exhibition Centre.

Heinous coup attempt staged by Fetullah Terrorist Organization (FETÖ) on 15 July and other topics such as history of military coups in Turkey and in the world through the prism of human rights, freedom and security were discussed by renowned experts during the panel honored by opening speech of the President of the Republic of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

Deputy Secretary General Kocaman held several bilateral meetings including the one with the Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Ankara Mr. Abzal Saparbekuly during the event attended by state officials, bureaucrats, ambassadors situated in Ankara, representatives and heads of international organizations.
