Turkic Council Deputy Secretary General Dr. Ömer Kocaman participated in the International Tourism Investment Forum entitled `From the Great Wall to the Heart of the Silk Road`.

Turkic Council Deputy Secretary General Dr. Ömer Kocaman participated in the International Tourism Investment Forum entitled `From the Great Wall to the Heart of the Silk Road`.
The forum is being co-organized by Ministry of Culture and Sports of Kazakhstan and Governorate (Akimat) of the South-Kazakhstan region on 15-16 November 2017 in Shymkent.
The opening ceremony of the forum was inaugurated by the Mayor of the South-Kazakhstan region who in his speech welcomed all the participants and emphasized the increasing touristic potential of the area.
Following the opening ceremony, the meeting continued with panel session 1 in which Deputy Secretary General Kocaman explained in details the work and projects conducted by the Turkic Council.
Moreover, he described in detail the "Turkic Council Modern Silk Road Joint Tour Package" Project, which is planned to be launched in 2018.
The mentioned joint package will create favorable conditions for local companies generating a financial surplus for the economies of the Member States.
At the end of his speech, Deputy Secretary General Kocaman invited interested parties to collaborate within the framework of this project.
Turkic Council Project Director Farid Damirli accompanied Deputy Secretary General Kocaman at the forum.
