Turkic Council in cooperation with TURKSOY, the Embassy of Turkish Republic in Tehran and the Economic Cooperation Organization Cultural Institute, inaugurated a photography exhibition in Tehran, on March 9, 2012. About 80 photos reflecting the history, life and development of the Member States and Turkic communities, as well as the activities of the Turkic Council and TURKSOY were exhibited.
The opening speech of the exhibition was delivered by the Deputy Secretary General of the Turkic Council Gismat Gozalov. The ribbon-cutting ceremony took place with the participation of the Deputy Secretary General of the Turkic Council Gismat Gozalov, the Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to Tehran Umit Yardım, the Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Tehran Cevansir Ahundov, TURKSOY Deputy Secretary General Fırat Purtas and officials from the ECO.More than 100 personalities representing social and cultural milieu of Iran and Foreign Embassies and organizations attended the ceremony. At the end “Mugham Trio” from Azerbaijan performed the mugam.
The Exhibition will be open at the Art Gallery of the ECO in Tehran for seven days until March 15, 2012.
