Turkic Council International Observer Mission continued its monitoring activities of the Presidential Elections of Kyrgyzstan. In its second day the Turkic Council International Observer Mission continued its observation of the pre-election process.
The group in Osh met with Tazhimamat Erkebaev, Chairman of the campaign headquarters of the presidential candidate of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbay Jeenbekov and Bishkek group met with Erik Iriskulbekov, official representative of the presidential candidate of Kyrgyzstan Omurbek Babanov. Both provided information on their respective election campaigns as well as technical features of the electoral system. In both meetings Members of the Mission extended information on the functions and objectives of the mission in the scope of the monitoring activities.
Bishkek Group attended the briefing provided by the Central Election Committee to the international observers and subsequently participated in the reception hosted by the Chairman of the Central Election Committee in honour of the international observers attending the election.
Turkic Councilıinternational Observation Mission comprises officials of the Secretariat and representatives from each Member State other than Kyrgyzstan, namely, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, and Turkey.
