Turkic Council Joint Election Observation Mission headed by the Deputy Secretary General Dr. Ömer Kocaman began monitoring activities in the framework of the early Parliamentary Elections in the Republic of Kazakhstan in two groups in Almaty 17 March 2016. Another group will be monitoring the elections in Kyzylorda.
The observation mission composed of the officials of the Turkic Council Secretariat and representatives from Member States and the International Turkic Academy started its activities by visiting Mr. Rakhman Alshanov, Head of the Office of Nur Otan Party in Almaty; Mr. Damen Budaybekov, Head of the Office of Birlik Party in Almaty and Mr. Abdulla Saparov, Head of Office of Auyl Party in Almaty. The delegation got information about the general atmosphere and the preparations for the elections.
