Turkic Council Junior Diplomats 5th Joint Training Program participants visited Kastamonu - the Cultural Capital of the Turkic World 2018.
Turkic Council Junior Diplomats 5th Joint Training Program participants visited Kastamonu - the Cultural Capital of the Turkic World 2018 and were received by Deputy Governor of Kastamonu Ünal Kılıçarslan on 30 June 2018.

Junior diplomats were informed about the historical and cultural heritage sites of the city and the events organized on the occasion of selection of the city as the cultural capital of the Turkic World and viewed a short introductory video about Kastamonu.

At the end of the meeting, the parties exchanged gifts and family photo was taken for the memory of the day.

Then the diplomats get acquainted with the cultural and historical sites of Kastamonu such as Martyr Şerife Bacı, Atatürk’s Memorial, İsmailbey Complex, Lithography-Handicrafts Bazaar, Liva Pasha Mansion (Ethnography Museum), Pir Şeyh Şaban-ı Veli Complex and Architect Vedat TEK Cultural and Art Centre.

The trip of junior diplomats to Kastamonu will finish on 1 July 2018, by visiting Mahmut Bey Mosque in the village of Kasaba which is on UNESCO’s Tentative List of World Heritage Sites, Museum of Archaeology, Clock Tower, and Yakup Ağa Complex.
