Turkic Council lowered the flags of the Member States and Secretariat that are found at its premises to half-staff due to the Day of Mourning in the Kyrgyz Republic.
29 August 2016 has been declared as the Day of Mourning in the Kyrgyz Republic by President of Kyrgyzstan Almazbek Atambayev due to the tragic fire incident happened in Moscow on 27 August 2016, where 14 Kyrgyz nationals lost their lives.

The Turkic Council, as always, shares its solidarity with the brotherly and friendly Kyrgyz Republic on this painful day, and as a result, lowered the flags of the Member States and Secretariat that are found at its premises to half-staff.

As the Secretariat of the Turkic Council we extend our condolences to the Kyrgyz people and wish God’s mercy upon those who lost their lives during this tragic incident.
