TURKIC COUNCIL MODERN SILK ROAD JOINT TOUR PACKAGE FIRST FAM TRIP IS STARTED IN KAYSERI, TURKEY.
The first familiarization trip of the Modern Silk Road Joint Tour Package Project, developed by the Cooperation Council of Turkic Speaking Countries (Turkic Council) providing a unique experience to discover the landmarks on the Traditional Silk Road, is started on 21 April 2017 in Kayseri, with the participation of academicians, journalists and the representatives of tour operators from Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkey, Italy and Belgium.

The itinerary of the 14 day Joint Tour Programme that runs until May 5, 2017 is as follows: In Turkey; Istanbul-Kayseri-Nevşehir (Cappadocia), Aksaray-Konya-Istanbul, in Azerbaijan; Ganja, Sheki, Shamaxi, Baku/ in Kazakhstan; Almaty, Shymkent, Turkestan, Taraz, in Kyrgyzstan; Bishkek, Naryn, Tash-Rabat, Cholpon Ata (Issyk-Kul)-Bishkek.

Pursuant to the instructions of Presidents of the Turkic Council Member States, during the Fourth Summit of the Turkic Council held in 2014 in Bodrum, dedicated to the theme of “Tourism Cooperation”, as well as to the decisions made by the Ministers in charge of Tourism Affairs of the Member States, the Turkic Council designed and developed the “Turkic Council-Modern Silk Road Joint Tour Package Project” to render the historical Silk Road into an attractive tourism destination.

Through this project, in one trip, tourists will travel around the Member States of the Turkic Council, namely Turkey, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan following the rich cultural and historical traces of the Silk Road in these countries. Photos and news from the first familiarization trip of the Modern Silk Road Joint Tour Package started on 21 April 2017 will be shared in the coming days on the Facebook page and official website of the Turkic Council.

These visits, which will be held in order to promote the Modern Silk Road Joint Tour Package Project, are organized with the kind support of the Presidencies, Prime Ministries, Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Ministries in Charge of Tourism of the Member States. The visits are supported by the Promotion Fund of the Republic of Turkeyand the Turkish Airlines is the main sponsor of the transport. Air Astana and Azerbaijan Airlines are also among the sponsors.
