The Turkic Council Modern Silk Road Joint Tour Package’s first fam trip continued in Nevşehir (Cappodocia), Aksaray and Konya on 22-23 April 2017 with the participation of foreign journalists, media representatives from Turkic Council Member States and officials of tour operators.
The delegation which was warmly welcomed by the local authorities of Turkey with the support of Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Turkey followed the traces of the ancient Silk Road along the part in Turkey of the whole destination. The participants enjoyed several master classes, the baloon experience, analysed the caravansarais on the road and visited the museum of Mevlana Celaleddin-i Rumi who was a sufi leader and spread the sufi values along the Silk Road.
The delegation will visit İstanbul, the city of Silk Road trade on 24 April 2017 and take part in the press conference to be given by the Secretary General of the Turkic Council Ambassador Ramil Hasanov at the headquarters of the Council at 17.00.
The fam trips, which will be held in order to promote the Modern Silk Road Joint Tour Package Project, are organized with the kind support of the Presidencies, Prime Ministries, Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Ministries in Charge of Tourism of the Member States. These visits are supported by the Promotion Fund of the Republic of Turkey and the Turkish Airlines is the main sponsor of the transport. Air Astana and Azerbaijan Airlines are also among the sponsors.
