In line with the decisions taken at the 5th Meeting of the Ministers in Charge of Tourism of the Turkic Council on 23 June 2020, the Turkic Council organized the Online Training Program on the precautions taken against COVID-19 pandemic with the participation of more than 100 attendees from the Member and Observer States.
The training was provided by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Turkey and attended by the government officials, tourism professionals and tour operators in the tourism sector.
Mr. Gismat Gozalov, Deputy Secretary General of the Turkic Council briefed the participants on the actions taken against the COVID-19 by the Secretariat and underlined the importance of coordination and collaboration among the Member and Observer States in this process.
Speakers from the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Turkey made presentations regarding the current state of the tourism and health system in Turkey under pandemic conditions, “Safe Tourism Certification Program”, tourist protection and support insurance with COVID-19 coverage and measures taken in the fight against COVID-19 by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Turkey.
