Chaired by the President of Turkic Academy Prof. Dr. Darhan Kıdıralı the conference was attended by the Ministers from the Member States, the Representatives of UNESCO, TÜRKSOY and TurkPA as well as leading scientists, famous Turkologists, researchers and representatives of non-governmental organizations from Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Hungary, Bashkortostan, Mongolia and Turkey.
In his speech the Deputy Secretary General Sultan Raev congratulated the Turkic Academy on its 10th anniversary and emphasized the important activities it carried out at the international level as well as significant scientific publications completed, especially in the field of Turcology. He also appreciated the efforts of the Academy in promoting the common Turkic culture worldwide.
Continuing his speech, S.Raev stated that the celebrations to be held for Abay, one of the esteemed figures of Turkic Culture, will introduce him not only to the Turkic people but also to the whole world. The Deputy Secretary General completed his speech with the words of the famous writer Chingiz Aytmatov quote “Abay is the intellectual, spiritual representative of the Kazakh people. Abay is the worldwide success of all Turkic culture”
