The conference was participated by Erzhan Tulebayev, Counselor of the Consulate General of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Istanbul, Arman Nurmakhamatuly, TURKSOY Coordinator, Ismail Aktanali, Head of Turkistan Region Tourist Information Center and Emre Dündar, Head of Tourism Department of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality. During the conference, participants shared their experience concerning the region and discussed the cooperation opportunities in order to promote tourism and attract more tourists to Turkistan.
In the conference, Project Director Ersin Aydoğan made a presentation regarding the Turkic Council and Modern Silk Road Joint Tour Package Project. In his presentation, Project Director Aydoğan provided brief information on the structure and activities of the Turkic Council and shared the details of “Modern Silk Road Joint Tour Package” developed by the Turkic Council, in which Turkestan region is determined as one of the destinations.
