Turkic Council Project Director Ali Çiviler participated in the 4th International Research Symposium on Turkic World organized by Ömer Halisdemir University on 26 April 2017 in Niğde, Turkey.

During the opening speech, Project Director Çiviler provided general information regarding the Turkic Council and its activities and transmitted extensive information on the Turkic Council Turkic University Union and the Orkhun process (Student and Academician Exchange Program), the Common Turkic History Textbook and the First University Sports Games of the Turkic Council to be held in Azerbaijan in 2018. Project Director Çiviler also took part in the meeting held with the participation of Rector of Ömer Halisdemir University Rector Prof Dr. Adnan Görür and the members of the protocol and informed the participants about the projects being carried out by the Turkic Council.

A plaque of thanks was presented to the Turkic Council due to its support to the Symposium. Prof Dr. Adnan Görür , Rector of Ömer Halisdemir University expressed his appreciation of the Turkic Council and its activities by allocating a special place to the Turkic Council in his opening address.

Within the scope of the Symposium organized with the participation of a large number of academicians from domestic and foreign countries, nearly 450 academic papers/presentations will be delivered on the wide range of issues related to the Turkic world.
